If you’ve been to one of the over-crowded southeastern beaches recently, you know that the latter description is pretty accurate. But on a vacation, you want to escape those crowds. You want to relax every sense, every part of you- not just your feet.
A much better choice for a southern vacation destination these days is the city of Charleston, South Carolina. Hiding some of the most pristine beaches on the east coast, Charleston can provide entertainments for every budget, and options to relax that make Panama City Beach seem like rush hour traffic by comparison.

You can rent an Isle of Palms beach house, a Charleston vacation rental, or one of the dozens of available beach houses and rentals scattered all over the area. Pick your location and your amenities and create a vacation that you can truly enjoy, not just experience.
Instead of packing into a 25-story hotel and spending a week playing mini-golf and shopping for cheap souvenirs at the local tourist trap, consider wandering the streets of Charleston, taking a historic carriage tour, surfing near the pier, and relaxing on a balcony bar as you watch the sun dip below the horizon. Like I said before, it’s your choice. But I really haven’t made it seem like much of a choice, now have I? It’s not. Once you’ve been to Charleston and experienced a week in a private rental house, running on your own schedule and unwinding without the hassle of overcrowded stores and restaurants, you’ll see what I mean. And then you’ll be back.
